Accessing and troubleshooting RMIT Creds
What are creds? RMIT Creds is a University-wide digital credentials program designed to help our students develop their own skills and experiences, actively preparing them for future life and work. Available to all current RMIT Students, you can choose your learning path to create your own portfolio of professional and personal skills and capabilities. Accessing RMIT Creds Staff who want to link a cred into their Canvas course shell need to follow the Planning a Credential in your course process. This website takes you through all steps in successfully implementing a cred into your Canvas course.
Trouble-shooting creds If you are having issues with Creds, please refer to the RMIT Creds Customer Service Delivery Cheat Sheet on the Planning a Credential in your course. This DSC website guides you on who best to contact to best resolve your issue.
Frequently asked questions
- Student claim they have passes the course but have not been issued with a badge. Log an incident with ITS Service and Support login required. ITS will investigate to make sure the settings are correct and that there are no technical issues. The Course Coordinator will make the decision on whether or not they will give the student an extension.
- Student completed the course at the last minute and does not leave enough time for the badge to be awarded (24 hours). The Course Coordinator will make a decision on whether or not they will give the student an extension.
- Student uses all assessment attempts and still fails but wants another attempt. The Course Coordinator to contact product owner to discuss (see Customer Service Delivery image above). If it’s agreed to give the student another attempt, the product owner will contact ITS Service and Support to organise.
- Student does not have access to the course after enrolment. Log an incident with ITS Service and Support to investigate.
