It’s that time of year again, where we get together to visibly show our support for young people identifying as part of the diverse genders, sexes and sexuality community here are RMIT.
Many young DGSS people come to RMIT at a time when they are still navigating their own identity in search of affirmation that they can proudly be themselves. There are members of our community who are living with people who don’t support their DGSS identity making it especially hard when they aren’t able to leave the home to find safe spaces. The virtual space can become a refuge for these individuals. We can help create that safe space online by wearing purple and actively showing our support.
Don’t forget to wear purple on Friday the 28th August and participate in the events.
