RMIT’s Policy, Strategy and Impact team, together with Social Ventures Australia, invites you to join an online forum to discuss the findings and potential impacts of a new report – Unleashing the Power of the Collective in Education.
The report by RMIT’s Policy, Strategy and Impact team provides an evaluation of The Connection – a Collaborative Leadership Development Network – created by Social Ventures Australia to support school leaders and teachers in disadvantaged school communities to develop collaborations with other like-minded school leaders, industry and the community, to improve student learning.
The report found:
“The Connection is living evidence: a working model for system-wide school improvement and collaborative leadership development at a school, community and system level. It sets a distinctive example from which other education systems in Australia and beyond can learn, adopt and adapt practices to achieve system-wide school improvement.”
Join an expert panel, including two of the report’s co-authors, as they discuss the promising findings from the report and what we can learn from the evaluation to help address inequality and disadvantage in Australian education and beyond.
Report co-authors, Tom Bentley, Executive Director for Policy and Impact at RMIT and Aarushi Singhania, a Senior Advisor, Education Research within RMIT’s Policy and Impact Team; SVA’s Sue Cridge, Director, Education, Bright Spots Schools Connection and Christine Cawsey AM, Principal, Rooty Hill High School.
