In preparation for our Transition Day & Planning I thought you might like to see how the agenda is shaping up. The aim of the day is mark this important moment in the school as our VE colleagues prepare to join the new DSC VE school. We will use the day to acknowledge and record the work we have done together and shape our plans for the future.
We have taken on board feedback from the April PL Day and although our agenda is different, we will ensure there is plenty of time for connecting. Leon has promised to bring his trumpet!
When: Thursday November 15.
Where: 13.03.007. It is easiest to enter from Victoria St opposite b.51 and walk up the stairs or take the lift to level 3.
We will spend the morning together reviewing our major achievements and challenges over the past few years. I will share some Deanly Deliberations after which Al is going to introduce an indigenous approach to reflect on and share our stories.
We will take a whole of school photo so wear your white socks and good shoes in case you’re in the front row!
Lunch (at about 1 pm) will include a book launch for some of the books published by SoEd authors in 2018.
After lunch VE staff will head back to b.51 to meet with Tony Graham and GUSS VE leaders. I’m confident it will be a great opportunity to hear more about the GUSS programs and initiatives as well as share our own excellent work.
Staff in the new SoEd will remain in b.13 to start planning for 2019. Students from across our programs will join us for this session.
To end the day
At 4 pm we will come back together in b.13 to end the day with drinks.
Catering for the day will be provided by Mary and Steve. Please do feel free to bring a container to take home any of the delicious leftovers!
