Transforming the workforce beyond the binary

This event looks like a great follow on from the session Em and Roz ran at the PL Day. Please do let your students know about the event as well.

While gays and lesbians are enjoying greater acceptance and inclusion, it’s not so easy for others in the LGBTIQ community. Those who don’t confirm to gender stereotypes, aren’t gender binary, or don’t identify with their biological or assigned sex often find employment more difficult to attain. In fact, many encounter distinct barriers rooted in stigma, discrimination and prejudice.

To hear how trans and gender diverse people can be better supported in the workplace and why companies are increasingly recognizing the importance and value of diversity and inclusiveness, you are cordially invited to a discussion on transforming the workforce beyond the binary.

Speakers will include Ro Allen, Victoria’s Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality, Dani Weber, an advocate for social change and equality who performs as the genderfluid dragtivist Dani Boi, and Nevo Zisin, a writer and gender rights activist.

This event is free to attend, however, registration is essential as space is limited. Please register via the RSVP link below to secure your spot.
