In good news Kathy Jordan has just received a research grant from DET to support the Tech Schools-Workforce Excellence project.
This project aims to develop and deliver a professional learning program for teachers to equip them with a deeper understanding of design thinking methodologies and STEM pedagogical skills. It will use the Bastow framework and methodology in line with Bastow’s Curriculum Development Process.
The project involves Kathy working as part of a collaborative team with staff from the Fitzroy Academy, No Tosh, VCAA, DET and Bastow.
The project builds on previous funded research including:
- the Entrepreneurial Futures Project (2018-2019) and
- Triad model Program Pilot (2019-2020).
It is envisaged that delivery will commence in semester 2 this year, with further intakes over the next 18 months.
Congratulations to Kathy on this great outcome.
