The following message was sent to SoE VE staff from Victoria yesterday. I add my thanks to Bloss for wonderful service to RMIT over more than 25 years. I am particularly grateful for the skill and expertise she has brought to the tertiary prep programs in SoE. Bloss’s passion for her work, her students and her staff will be missed by many. I look forward to wishing Bloss well at her farewell in October.

It is with personal regret but warm wishes that I announce the retirement of Bloss Robertson.

Bloss’s leaving marks the end of an era for the Tertiary Preparation Programs.

We are indebted to her vision and commitment for propelling the many programs to their present position. Her work has assured the success of the programs into the future.

Bloss has been an esteemed member of the various faculties, departments and schools at RMIT for over 25 years, and she will be greatly missed by students and colleagues alike. We have all benefited from her passion and commitment for education which has been an inspiration to us all. She will be sorely missed and impossible to replace.

Please join me in extending best wishes to Bloss as she starts a new chapter in her interesting life. We know she is eager to catch up on riding her horse, as well as doing the many things she loves so much.

We will officially farewell Bloss and express our appreciation to her in October with a farewell party.

Melanie Reynold’s will replace Bloss as Interim Program Manager for semester 2 of 2017. Melanie will begin the position of Interim Program Manager on July 17, 2017.
