It is QS rankings season and the release of the rankings brings good news for RMIT and the school. RMIT is listed among the world’s top universities in 25 of 39 assessed subject areas featured in this year’s QS World University Rankings by Subject, placing it as the best-performing university in the Australian Technology Network.
At a school level there is also good news. For the second year in a row Education at RMIT has been ranked in the 51-100 band.
In other subject areas the university has performed well. Art and Design has increased six places to 11th globally. Architecture and the Built Environment, ranked 26th worldwide, is also up two places from 2017.
Having read Jerry Muller’s (2018) The Tyranny of Metrics over the weekend I confess to some mixed feelings about this post!
