Yesterday saw the first session of our possum skin cloak construction. This cloak will be on display in the new building at Bundoora and be used in teaching across our programs.
Throughout the day staff and HDR students from the school were joined on the City by colleagues from across the university, our b.220 architects and other friends. Led by Al and Mitch, we learned how to sew the skins while we yarned across many topics. What a beautiful and meaningful reconciliation activity. Many thanks to Al for the excellent job he has done to realise this great initiative. He created a wonderful atmosphere of collaboration, with opportunities to be curious and learn.
There will be a session at Bundoora on Thursday and another planned at Brunswick on Wednesday November 20.
