Open Educational Resources

This year across the university seven courses replaced existing textbooks with Open Educational Resources (OER, freely accessible, openly licensed text, media, and other digital assets), saving students more than $130,000.

At a time when many students have lost work, reducing the financial cost of study is a tangible way we can provide support and contribute to the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals.

Join us for an update on OERs at RMIT and a discussion about how course coordinators can engage with this important initiative. Andrew Stapleton, Senior Coordinator, Digital Learning, DSC will update us on the RMIT OER project and look at options for adoption as well as creation of OERs.
