New requirements for NSW graduates

The NSW government, amid concerns of lower entry standards into teaching, has set a number of new requirements under the Teacher Success Profile (TSP). Graduates beginning their degree in 2019 will be required to have a credit average in their degree, have evidence of “superior emotional and cognitive intelligence”, and demonstrate sound placement reports, to apply for jobs in schools. Reports note that students with online only degrees will not be prioritised for jobs.
