Kathy and Mel have negotiated an exciting new PX opportunity for our MTP students offered through RMIT Culture WIL Internships.
The placements will involve developing curriculum aimed at Years 10-12, as well as developing a strategy for expanding awareness of two of RMIT Culture’s activities within the education sector. These placements will provide valuable industry experience working in the arts within an education environment.
RMIT Culture aims to inspire and engage our many audiences to discover new ideas and perspectives by exploring RMIT’s nine extraordinary spaces, resources and collections. These are: the AFI Research Collection, Design Hub Gallery, First Site Gallery, INTERSECT, RMIT Design Archives, RMIT Gallery, RMIT University Art Collection and The Capitol. RMIT Gallery placement – this placement will involve developing curriculum that fits in the Australian Curriculum Framework to promote a learning strategy for the RMIT Gallery exhibition Future U (5 June – 22 August 2020) which responds to the complex possibilities of AI and biotechnology and its impact on society, as well as a developing a strategy for expanding awareness of the RMIT Art Collection within the education sector. RMIT University Art Collection placement – this placement will involve developing curriculum that fits in the Australian Curriculum Framework to promote the use of the online resources of the RMIT University Art Collection in line with the national curriculum, as well as a developing strategy for expanding awareness of the RMIT Art Collection within the education sector.
