New standards and rules will be introduced globally from 28 February 2020 to create consistency and best practice when using Office 365.
The changes will affect Office 365 Groups, which are automatically created when users create a Teams site, Yammer group, or SharePoint site.
Key changes include:
- one-year expiry for Office 365 Groups that aren’t actively used
- new roles and responsibilities for owners and creators of Groups
- default 15-year retention policy
The O365 Program team will communicate throughout the year to help guide these changes.
