New Academic Policies update

The project is close to wrapping up as almost all of the new policy suites under the new Policy Framework have been implemented. The best source of information is always the Policy webpages which hosts the version of the policy and process which is currently in effect. Some new academic policies have been approved but are not published and therefore not in effect. These policies are outlined below:

Assessment

New Policy is approved but not yet published. ARG (Craig Paterson) is currently developing the processes and will consult with DPVC’s L&T with a final draft within the next few weeks. The current Assessment policy is still in effect until the new policy and processes are published as a suite.
Programs and Courses
The DVCE sent out an email on 9 August nominating Director Program Quality and Development A/Prof Zosh Pawlaczek as her delegate for this policy and authorising the implementation of the Program and Course governance process from the new policy. The new Policy is approved but not yet published.
The current Program and Course design and Program and course life-cycle policies are still in effect until the new policy and processes are published as a suite.
Admission and credit
New Policy and process are approved but ARG have delayed publishing until later in the year to minimize impact on the Semester 1 admissions cycle. We will be advised of the publishing timeline by ARG at a later date.  The current policies related to Admission and Credit are still in effect until the new policy and processes are published as a suite.
Once the full suites are complete, as with other policy suites, they will be published and an announcement will go out in RMIT Update and directly to key stakeholders. If there are any staged approaches to implementing the policy suites,  the DVCE will contact the key stakeholders directly.
