Naomi attracts further funding for Voice Story

Around his time last year I blogged about Naomi’s great success in attracting Research Translation Funding to translate her languages app, called Voice Story, into a prototype/working model, with the long-term aim of it being available to schools in second language programs.

I am delighted to report that Naomi and her collaborator, Li Ping Thong, from the School of Design, have been successful in attracting a second round of funding. This further funding will allow the team to fully develop the Voice Story App and commercialise and market it to educators and schools. This is really wonderful news and I congratulate Naomi and Li Ping on their cross-disciplinary entrepreneurial success.

Speaking of entrepreneurial acumen, Angela Rogers has also produced a terrific maths app, Zero the Hero, for 7-12 year olds and VCE student, James Dale, has also been recognised by Apple for his app development work.

I look forward to showcasing this great work with the University shortly! If there are any other app developers across the school please do let me know.
