Congratulations to our two MTP students who have just returned from a study tour to China. Both students, Carol and Kiarra, had a fabulous time and joined in classes in our partner school in Beijing, teaching both secondary and primary classes.

The Beijing ZhongGuanCun Foreign Language School (BZFLS) is a select K-12 school in Beijing specializing in preparing secondary students for overseas tertiary studies.

RMIT University, in partnership with BZFLS offers the opportunity for students to study an internationally recognised senior secondary qualification, the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). Our students were fortunate enough to attend, observe and assist in classes in the school, which is across a number of campuses.

Judging by the photos, videos and emails, it was a fabulous experience. Both students have added  to their professional development in developing a global understanding of learning and teaching beyond Australia. We hope they will be able to share experiences with the wider cohort in the near future as this study tour and possible exchange becomes a regular feature of the programme.

Special thanks to BZFLS school and our fabulous liaison person, study tour leader and cultural adviser – Craige Procter, without whose organisation this would not have happened.
