Low-paid ‘women’s work’: why early childhood educators are walking out

You may have already seen this article in The Conversation explaining why early childhood educators are taking action on Tuesday March 27 and asking parents to keep their children home.

I know the valuing of early learning is core to our programs and research, particularly in the ECE team. We will be inviting students and staff to walk out at 12:30 and join in creating a mural over lunch at the BBQ area. BYO lunch and smock.

I also encourage our students and staff to join the march and rally in town at 4 pm starting at Feb square. It is the biggest early education walk off in Australian history.
