Hola from Cheryl Semple and Mandi Berry who are in Salamanca, Spain! They are happy to report very successful presentations of their research on behalf of the RMIT School of Education at the International Study Association for Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) conference, held in Salamanca, Spain, from 4 – 7 July. The conference was set in the beautiful environs of Salamanca University – the oldest in Europe. ISATT conference participants represent a very diverse international group and it was interesting – and at times alarming – to see how particular issues and challenges that we experience in Australian teacher education are playing out in similar ways around the world.
We highly recommend this conference as a great opportunity to access latest research in teacher education as well as for international networking in a small (250 participants approx.) and very friendly environment. It is great that RMIT School of Education can be visible in this international network and we encourage more colleagues to join the ISATT Association and attend the next conference to be held in Romania, in 2019. (The journal of ISATT is the highly ranked: Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice.)
