At RMIT we are proud to welcome students and staff from all over the world. We want to make sure that our whole community feels respected and included. That’s why we’re inviting all staff to join us in celebrating Harmony Week

Harmony Week is a celebration of Australia’s cultural diversity. Including the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the week is a chance to celebrate and to reflect on how diversity and inclusion benefits the entire community.

Staff and students are encouraged to attend the celebrations, including a very special City campus procession on Tuesday 24 March.

The ringing of bells often marks important cultural and religious occasions. Join a group of staff and students as we follow a path through the City campus, ringing a selection of beautiful handbells from master bellmaker Anton Hassell.

The procession will conclude at about 1.45pm and afternoon tea will follow. Catering will be provided by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, who partner with RMIT to support students who are refugees and/or seeking asylum. Come and learn more about our comprehensive program of support including access schemes, fee waivers and customised career support.

Please invite colleagues and your networks to join us in celebrating the diversity that makes RMIT so special.
