Good news for Analia

I am delighted to share the following good news with the School.

Congratulations to Analia Solis, from the Urban School, who has been endorsed to work in roles that support and promote Indigenous Culture in the education sector. The endorsement was received from Brendan Kennedy,  Director of the Tati Tati Aboriginal Corporation, Vice-chair of the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages, Director of Murray Darling Waters Indigenous Nations and a member of the Yulendj Group of Elders and Cultural Knowledge Holders.

This is an enormous accomplishment and recognises Analia’s long-standing commitment to indigenous education, culture and events that celebrate Aboriginal people’s rights and cultural status. Analia is currently teaching sociology to Victorian Certificate of Education students in the Urban school, where she has worked hard to introduce this commitment in her own classes and across the curriculum. She is also co-author of a popular Sociology text for Units 3 & 4.

Warmest congratulations Analia!
