On Wednesday evening (27th March) a group of 60 experienced teachers, graduate teachers and pre-service teachers enjoyed a highly entertaining and informative presentation by Glen Pearsall, an experienced teacher, professional learning presenter, teaching coach and author of best selling books for teachers And Gladly Teach, Classroom Dynamics and co-author of Literature for Life and Work Right Here.
Glen presented an engaging and practical professional learning session focusing on the challenges of low-level behaviours of concern and strategies to respond to these. He had us all laughing, nodding our heads in agreement with his scenarios, and actively talking, sharing and developing our practice. It was so rewarding to see teachers from RMIT’s partner schools, recent graduates (many of whom are teaching in our partnership schools) and current students working together in a community of practice to improve their own practices through a shared learning experience.
Well done to Nicky and the team for organising such a great event.
