Edufolios Trial Semester 2

I am delighted that we are trialling Edufolios with 1st year students in our ITE programs in Semester 2. This is a strategic project to assist us not only in supporting students to meet the AITSL standards and to further develop student metacognition, but it will also help us in our reporting to VIT.

For those who are unfamiliar with Edufolios, it is a purpose-built website for pre-service and ongoing teachers. It allows students to record what they are doing in their study, reflect on their experience and then link their evidence to the AITSL Standards. I do hope the staff involved in the Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Health and PE and Masters programs enjoy the workshop on 3rd July (10am – 12pm in 220.3.31). Attending this workshop is key in our trial of the tool.

This video shows you how Edufolios works and below are some guides for you to get a head start before the facilitated workshop:

Hello – This book talks about what Edufolios is, contains examples and more.   Web | Print

Getting Started Guide – This book walks users through the first six “reflectionist” tasks inside Edufolios.  This guide should give them a good idea of how the system works.    Web | Print

Thanks to Thembi and HELM for their work in championing this initiative.
