Late last week RMIT became the first University to achieve Disability Confident Recruiter status from the Australian Network of Disability!
Gaining Disability Confident Recruiter status is an important step in furthering RMIT’s commitment to our Accessibility Action Plan 2016-2020 and demonstrates our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all staff and students.
The improvements that we have made to our Talent Acquisition process has meant we have removed potential systematic and cultural barriers to enable jobseekers with a disability to apply for positions on a level playing field. This achievement really showcases our core value of inclusion, as we strive to make RMIT a truly inclusive place for all to learn and work.
Gabrielle Bassett, Executive Talent Acquisition Manager leads this project and will be joining the Accessibility Working Group ongoing.
