Connie Merlino has been appointed as RMIT’s Academic Registrar. As Academic Registrar, Connie is responsible for administration of the student lifecycle as well as student integrity.
Over the past six months Connie has been working in the role of Associate Registrar. Before joining the ARG, Connie led the Compliance and Privacy Advisory team where she managed the policy framework and was the University’s Privacy and Freedom of Information Officer. She has also worked in Strategy and Governance, University Secretariat, where she led the Academic Governance review project with the Chair of Academic Board and in Planning and Resources in the College of Business.
Connie is a trained lawyer and has a background in education and public sector administration with an emphasis on governance and compliance.
