Last week offered a smorgasbord of opportunities for SoEd researchers. On Wednesday Anne and Kelly hosted our informal RAW series in b.108 with great success.
Thursday saw a focus on the Bundoora campus with two sessions, also well attended by students and staff.
In the second of our New Directions in Education Research, showcasing our new scholars, Linda Knight shared her inefficient mapping methodological protocol and how she has used it to map in/human play. It was a great opportunity to hear about Linda’s work and produced some lively discussion that ran over into afternoon tea.
In WERK, our Workshops in Education Research for Knowledge series, we explored the topic of Writing and Winning Grants at RMIT University: Strategies and Support for Education Researchers. Facilitated by Jeff, this session included a panel of ARC luminaries – Anne Harris, Ralph Horne and John Bonacci – all of whom generously offered their advice and ongoing support. With a particular focus on ARC Linkage grants, themes included building partnerships, piloting, creating a runway and making good use of the support available across RMIT.
Keep an eye out for more opportunities for more research action in the SoEd.
