3-year-old kinder update

As you would be aware the Victorian Government has committed almost $5 billion over ten years so that every child in the state will have access to a kindergarten program for three-year-olds. This means that an extra year of play-based learning, led by a teacher, will be added to Victorian children’s education.

It is predicted a further 2000 EC educators will be required to meet this demand and our EC program team is exploring opportunities created by these changes.

Early childhood scholarships are now available, including $25,000 towards an approved undergraduate qualification and $12,000 towards an approved Grad Dip qual as well as Early Childhood Aboriginal scholarships of up to $24,000.

Subsidised kindergarten for three-year-olds will become available in stages as indicated below.
