You might have heard that this year’s Academic Promotion round is getting a makeover as the University transitions to a new framework built under Project Metis. There will be a range of support for applicants to prepare for the promotion process including mentoring, extra resources and workshops.
The 2018 round of academic promotion will be officially launched on 2 May 2018 at Storey Hall from 11.00am – 12.00pm. Register here to attend! I encourage you to go along if you are looking to apply for promotion in 2019.
Mentoring for academic promotion will be piloted on the BOOST platform to provide more flexibility and guidance for academics on the path to promotion. Formal partnerships will run for four months in the lead up to application submission. If you are applying as a mentee and your preferred mentor is not listed, you can send them an invitation to join once you have registered. Register for BOOST for Academic Promotion today. Applications close for mentees and mentors on 20 April 2018.
The Academic Promotion page on WorkLife (link to plage) will be updated with new forms and resources to support academics in preparing to apply for promotion by Easter.
More information and resources will continue to be added in the coming months for Managers and Heads of School/Deans.
